According to social philosopher and critic Christopher Hitchens, the empowerment of women is the primary route to secure prosperity and socio-economic growth in a society in the long term.

Our model follows the philosophy of From women - through women - for girls. This means all the supporters of the project are women, mothers, professional women, female psychologists, female doctors, female academics, and so on.

We currently support the entire education of 92 girls in India and 19 girls in Nepal, all from less privileged backgrounds, often lacking a father, and in all cases with a bright potential if only they are given the chance. This means their full education, in several cases from primary school through to college, in many cases their final school years, is financed and the parents are incentivised to keep them in school. We also work with a network of mentors --- all professional women --- who guide the Sarvamangala girls on their journey.

Sarvamangala additionally also provides school materials, shoes, food and uniforms for forty other children during their entire school year.

If you would like to support and empower a girl, or if you would like to be a mentor, please let us know. If you would like to receive more information, please contact info@sarvamangala.org.uk
